Well ds's dad just arrived unexpectedly and demanded to take ds with him - encouraged ds to say hello to his dad, but then he ran into his bedroom and started to cry. I attempted to discuss ds's current health situation - recovering from the operation as well as being ill (flu). "dad" was having none of it - wouldn't talk, just shouted at me. He went to his car, then came back, banged in the door and demanded ds to go with him.

Forgive me if this is long and rambly I just need to get this out somewhere safe.

I think I might even photocopy my own copy before I submit to CSA, cos I am embarrassed to ask them to copy it for me!

CS and FTB question

Not really sure where this should go, but I thought "help" might cover it, as it is a question...

Does anyone know how CSA reconcile your FTB payments? What I mean is, if CSA have calculated a certain amount of CS each month, but the couple have a private arrangement, how do CSA actually know how much CS you really get and therefore what FTB you are entitled to. I am thinking more in mind of when the paying parent pays a lot more than the CSA assesment.

I've been with my husband for over 26 years - married 23. He left me 4 months ago wanting to be single which has been a huge shock. Well my dd dbd I assume did his tax return quickly this year thinking he would get a nice little sum...
And my fantastic suprise when I recieved it (and his, I'm sure). So after 6 years my arrears are gone!!!
CSA finally did something right for me... No doubt in this recent life and the new assessment I just recieved, he will be come misteriously unemployed again! Only to become employed and not tell CSA....

Looks like I have to go back to the Family Law Court circus - ds's dad and I attended mediation (which was a waste of time), so now he has his certificate to file an application against me. He is hell bent on his fixation of gaining full custody of our 4 yr old son, but says he'll compromise and fight me for 50/50. Also, he says his girlfriend is pregnant again (their son is was born early this year).
I just wish he'd spend as much time on her as he appears to be spending on...

Is there anyone here on the forum who has had to go through the legal process with an Ex who has displayed mental health issues?
I have identified/recognised some traits in my ex and beleive he has a certain condition/s and that is why he follows his behaviour patterns, but I wonder how to get that across in the court arena?

CSA and their lack of communication

I find it interesting how slack they are at communicating info. Since my case went to the international section, no one ever contacts me. No calls, no letters, no notifications. Everything I have ever learnt I learn by stumbling across something, or when talking to Centrelink about other things. I wonder what they actually do and if they are meant to advise everyone concern of changes.

I received a letter from C/link about the FTB percentage status of little ds.
Obviously, his dad has been into the office and claimed that he has a greater share of contact with ds - they want me to complete a form 'proving' my level of contact, but it is still more than 65% so does not affect FTB payments.

I am after any advice, knowledge on the Medicare Safety Nett and what it is for...? Or rather, what you can claim through it?
